Thai Basil Beef

This recipe uses affordable ingredients that are nutrient-dense and is easy to prepare for family dinners. Plus, it’s delicious!

Health Benefit:

Lean ground beef is a great source of protein for energy and helps keep us fuller for longer. Onion and garlic boost immunity and reduce inflammation.

Large skillet or wok

Small bowl

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 4-6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Fresh Thai basil leaves

  • 2 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1 TBSP fish sauce
  • 1 TBSP honey
  • 2 TBSP lime juice
  • 1 TBSP chili paste

Use whatever veggies you have in your fridge already and need to use, or opt for your favorites. You can also use ground chicken or turkey in place of ground beef. If vegetarian, you can use tofu and omit fish sauce.
